Reporting AutomationComingOn every Google core update

Core Update Analyzer

Within 24 hours of every Google core update, a ranked report of what moved and why.

Why we built it

When Google confirms a core update, every client wants to know what moved and whether it was them or the whole category. Pulling that comparison together by hand takes a day per site, and the questions arrive on day one. This assembles the full report inside 24 hours of the update being confirmed, with the competitor context already in it.

How it runs

  1. 01

    Trigger on the confirmed update

The workflow fires when Google confirms a core update and sets the before-and-after comparison windows around the rollout dates.

  2. 02

    Pull brand and competitor data

DataForSEO returns the movement picture for the brand plus up to nine competitors: traffic estimates, keyword winners and losers, and the branded versus unbranded split that separates demand shifts from ranking shifts.

  3. 03

    Assemble the six-tab report

One Google Sheet: traffic, keyword winners and losers, branded versus unbranded, competitor comparison, Core Web Vitals, and a Gemini-written insight summary keyed to the update date. Ranked by what moved most.
