Content Decay Monitor
Catch declining pages before the loss compounds. Refresh-priority list ready every Monday.
Why we built it
Content decay is slow. A page sheds a few percent of its clicks each week, and the dashboards keep looking normal until the quarter ends and the loss has compounded. We wanted the decline flagged in week two, with the refresh work already prioritized, so Monday morning starts with a queue instead of an investigation.
How it runs
- 01
Pull the weekly numbers
Every Monday at 8AM EET the workflow pulls clicks, impressions, and position per URL from the Search Console API for the full site.
- 02
Detect decay against the baseline
Each URL is compared to its own trailing 90-day baseline. Sustained declines get flagged; one-week dips and seasonal swings are filtered out so the queue stays trustworthy.
- 03
Rank the refresh queue
Gemini 2.5 orders the flagged pages by traffic value, so the refresh effort goes where the recoverable clicks are. The ranked queue lands in Notion with an email summary on top.
